Long CSX Manifest Passes Through Town: Vlogmas day 18

While making my way, I got stopped by a long CSX manfest slowly passing through town. At this crossing, the gates go down a MINUTE before the train arrives. I wonder if that happens near curves since you wouldn't be able to see the train, therefore the gates going down early helps prevent accidents.
