Why Is there no Half Life 3 or Portal 3 Spoiler Alert and Speculation

Well We know that the ending of portal 2 had a song called Cara Mia Addio, Which is Italian For "Goodbye my Dear". It also features the Lines "Why don't you walk away from science". Although Half Life was never concluded. It Ended Talking about the Borealis. Not a Conclusion.

Some Claim that there are only 10 people working on half life 3. Put this into perspective around 80 People worked on HL2, 10 people Can make a Unity Game, but most likely not a Source Engine, High Tier Game.

Others Claim That the Hype is a reason. Which makes sense because If you release a terrible Game, It will lower your stock value and reputation.

Or They Could be Saving Funds, To Put Towards Half Life 3. Which would mean we would have to wait years. Most Likely 4-5 years
