Season 22 - : Food diary: Potatoe for lunch and for planting

Today I wanted to write for the contest that is running by @artist1111 here is the link:
Yesterday we had a busy day, it was nice weather and we decided to do some garden work. After winter and such quick start of spring with a nice warm days, we see that there is also a lot of weed. Such plants grow everywhere, we have some stones on ground just in front of our garden door. They are filling spaces between stones and already some of htem are relatively long.
Because of hard phisical work we decided not to spent time for long cooking, so decision was taken easy, we had some chicken skewer alreasdy marinated and needed just to be cooked in fan for half an hour. That is why we thought why not some fried potatoes.
When I saw our potatoes, I noticed that some of them started to potato sprouting, last year I planted such potatoes and they grown very well. That is why I thought, OK will fry some and those that started sprouting will simply plant in garden.

First of all, peeled of potato skins and hten cut them into thin slices.

Onions are always good with fried potatoes

Next I started frying onion till nice folden colour but make sure that they are not burnt.

Once onion is ready I add potatoes, salt and mix them properly, cover with lid and leave it for 10 minutes.

In about 10 minutes, potatoes should be softer so I just add eggs, I thought to add only two, after mixing cover with lied and leave for another 5 minutes.
My chicken skewer is ready too after 30 minutes, it is time to serve.

Our early afternoon meal was very delicous.

These are potatoe sprouting, it seems we have 6 of them and instead of throw away I decided to plant them in our back yard we have small space for that.

First we needed to remove some weed and clean up space now they are planted and watered. We will see if we will get any harvest.
