That really makes any thought of staying with the old Steem blockchain untenable, I really think that developers and blog creators combined should seriously consider their options right now and decide where they have allegiance - only one blockchain will come out of this on top.

Although there would be a 30 day waiting period (to have seasoned enough SPs to be able to witness vote on the Hive) there is nothing to stop Mr. Sun from taking over the new chain after a 30 day period. He could come in using multiple accounts so as to not be so easily targeted as was the case with v. 22.2. One could only wonder if the Hive witnesses would try targeting Mr. Sun's accounts selectively based on personality, alone, as opposed to their previous justification of pre-mined ninja stake. 😎
