The HIVE Mind: Premeditated and Diabolical

in #hive4 years ago

So I hope you understand by now that the HIVE group knew, in advance, that there was a flaw in the system that could be exploited to freeze accounts and manipulate votes, and instead of correcting this vital threat to our funds, they simply tucked it away for future use against the overshadowing demon of centralization. Where I come from, this is called backstabbing!

So this leaves us with a valuable lesson to learn from this experience: can our STEEM funds, within the present system, be frozen by a malicious group of 20 to 50 Witnesses? Should we continue to rely on 20 Witnesses, or should we move to increase the number of Witnesses to 100 or more? As we have seen, it is much more possible to form a nefarious group of 20 Witnesses, than it is a hundred or more. We are, after all, talking about the safe-guarding of our funds.

And to those mindless HIVE lackeys that continue to insist that I know nothing about blockchain technology, or what a hardfork is, I have friends who are professional cryptocurrency miners, and they would never, ever... I repeat, NEVER, EVER, run ANY code that freezes ANYONE'S accounts! It flies in the face of the very foundation of the cryptocurrency movement. But you wouldn't understand that because:

You people have no ethics...
no morals...
no principles...
no values...
and no backbone...

This is a shameful moment in the history of cryptocurrencies, and all those who will now ask, "Will my funds be safe?", cannot be given an answer that inspires security.

All this because of a group of highly insecure, dysfunctional narcissists who now feel powerful because they have surrounded themselves with a bunch of ass-kissing, crypto-beggars who would sell their soul for an upvote!

What are you talking about, who's steem account has been frozen?

No Steem accounts have been frozen, but in the hardfork to HIVE, certain HIVE accounts, which should have also been copied, were frozen. Do you remember when Bitcoin hardforked to Bitcoin Cash? What miners of Bitcoin Cash would have accepted that on the new blockchain, certain accounts would be frozen?

you mean the accounts that supported a centrally-organized hostile takeover of Steem to boot out the community's delegated representatives?

You do know those accounts were ninja mined with unfair advantage.

Besides, if those accounts were copied over to HiVE, sun sun would control (centralise) both steem and HiVE which makes this hardfork pointless.

It's almost like you predicted this outcome we currently have. You make a very good point and it looks like both Hive and Steem have a long way to go to become truly decentralised.

Thank you for your support, and your kind words. As you can imagine, I'm taking a lot of abuse for expressing my opinions. I will be addressing the issue of decentralizing in my next post.
