RE: Hive Communities May Be Closer Than We Thought
Very interesting thoughts on Hive Communities @gadrian, and if they are so cheap it will surely devalue the point of having one, and make the tribes even more important, keep up your great work and stay awesome.
This is Awesome Content, and it has been manually curated with an upvote of 60% from @thisisawesome and it will be included in our Awesome Daily report in category Awesome CTP Curation for more visibility.
The goal of this project is to "highlight Awesome Content, and growing the Steem ecosystem by rewarding it".
We will see. I've seen a couple of positions that there should be a considerable fee for creating a community, just like for tribes.

Thanks @gadrian, and just to let you know, I got word from Jon that the word Steemit used to describe this is as a subreddit, now if that is the case this is a less featured version of the tribe condenser and no domain of your own, I do not now the details of this but if this is what a community is then the price makes sense to me, stay awesome.
Yes, that's the word @roadscape used.
But without the Nitrous software to offer the steemit.com interface clones, so are the tribes, in a way. You don't have a domain for them and you don't have an interface, unless you buy them and set them up.
But I've seen SCOTs (which is the Steem-Engine correspondent of SMTs) which don't have an interface behind. They work through commands inside Steem comments. Maybe there are some which work in Discord only, but I don't know.
So an interface is not mandatory I guess. As long as there are people in the community (or using the token, when there will also be SMTs).
Thanks @gadrian, the point I was getting at was that if this is a sub-steemit, then they will have a subdomain on Steemit and not a domain of their own, which makes it way less attractive to people outside of Steem and with way less weight in Google searches, I wish you an awesome weekend ahead.
Good point, but I suppose important communities will set up their own domains. Have a great weekend as well!
