RE: [ENG/DEU/ESP] Competition series | My favorite dessert | Mein Lieblingsdessert | Mi postre favorito
my favorite dessert is the marquesa a cold cake made with wheat crackers and chocolate a 100% Venezuelan dessert, it's very delicious @greece-lover I invite you to prepare it, no oven required!
only the following ingredients:
1 a square glass bowl
400 g. wheat crackers
300 g. melted dessert chocolate or chocolate powder
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 lt. milk
2 tablespoons cornstarch
4 egg yolks
120 g. sugar
80 g. butter
excellent to eat with all our friends and family !
8 ingredients and that's it!
I recommend it to everyone, its flavor is spectacular for a dinner, to go out, for a birthday party, to watch movies, to pass the hours, to share with your friend, family or girlfriend or for a wedding, baptism, communion, or even to go on a picnic or to work.
here is the recipe and preparation friends you can translate it in your languages: https://www.recetavenezolana.com/marquesa-de-chocolate/
There is a similar dessert in Germany - it is called "cold dog" :)

great, but does it have the same ingredients as the Marquesa?
Yes, it is similar. Here is the recipe. It was made a lot in the former GDR when Germany was still divided. I lived there at the time. https://germangirlinamerica.com/kalter-hund-no-bake-chocolate-biscuit-cake/
wow interesting!, well what I know is that here in venezuela it was prepared long ago since the beginning of the 20th century, I think the marquesa and kalter Hund is the same then but with a different name, I guess then that this dessert is of European origin because here in venezuela it is called "marquesa" and comes from the Spanish word marques (is a noble title by which European monarchs have granted an honor or dignity to certain people and lineages throughout history).
this dessert is widely eaten and known here in venezuela from generation to generation is national heritage.
Very interesting. What you can learn about other countries through such a small competition. I think that's excellent.
