Hi, I'm @mariam.dariam and I'm from Ukraine. I want to share a festive photo taken in 2018. It was made before our country was hit by troubles and holidays ceased to be holidays.

At that time, our country celebrated Saint Nicholas Day on December 19 (this year we celebrate this holiday on December 6, like the rest of the world). At my husband's work, invitations to a children's party were distributed to everyone who has children. We also received an invitation and went to the holiday as a whole family. It took place in the local Palace of Culture, in the historical part of the small town of Kalush. This family walk in anticipation of the holiday program was unforgettable in itself.

Then there was a celebration. Saint Nicholas came to the children, the children sang songs and lit a big Christmas tree. And at the end of the holiday, everyone who received an invitation was given a gift.

We left the Palace of Culture and took this photo of my daughter, full of positive emotions, holding her gift. This photo forever immortalized for me the spirit of Christmas that was about to come.
