When I think of Test cricket before 2000, I think of watching epic games on the black and white screen. In the 19th century, people had respect and interest in Test cricket. The spectators waited for 5 days with interest for the result of the game. Sitting in the gallery, they cheered the players with applause. The game of 19th-century cricket was truly remarkable. However, in the 20th century, many changes have taken place in the game of cricket. Viewers now prefer to watch shorter format games than longer formats. Test cricket is losing its popularity. Although the ICC has launched the Test Championship to popularize the Test game, only time will tell how successful it will be.
