Hello guys
I welcome you all

I hope everyone is great

If someone asks what would be the best turning point in the history of cricket. Someone will say promoting Rohit Sharma as an opener by MS Dhoni, Someone would say handling over the last crucial overs to Joginder Sharma and Ishant Sharma in the T20 world cup (2007), and Champions trophy (2013), respectively, Someone would say that mistakenly awarded overthrow in the 2019 one-day world cup final (it was, by the way). Thought, deep down we all know that promoting Sachin Tendulkar as an opener was the best turning point that cricket history has witnessed. At That time cricket was not that famous and was watched and listened to by people rarely. Think about that if he was not promoted as an opener (turning point), we could have not seen him achieving the feat he achieved as an opener.

1) How he got the chance to open the Inning
On March 27, 1994, the regular opener Navjot Sidhu suffered from a stiff neck and was not available in the 2nd one-day against New Zealand at Auckland. Captain Azruddin was quite tense about who should open the inning. Earlier, S. Tendulkar's had begged and pleaded much time to open the inning for India but unfortunately, he was ignored every time. Captain Azruddin then decided to give a chance to this little master to open the game for India. On his first match as an opener, Tendulkar smashed 82 runs off just 49 balls with the strike rate of 165 (Played like T20 match isn't it?) and won a game for India. With this brilliant knock, he cemented his place as an opener.

2) Record as an opener Vs other Position
In the initial phase of his career, he has played at various positions 7th, 6th, 5th, 4th and one-down. But his utmost performance came as an opener Which means S. Tendulkar rule the world cricket when it comes to open the innings. out of 49 centuries, 45 were smashed while opening the inning. you can imagine how the opening slot in the cricket is perfectly made for him.

The above record shows that S. Tendulkar was made for Opening only.

3) Most hundred partnerships in One Day matches
Any team can rule world cricket if they have got two capable openers who can hit the ball in a powerplay ver baldy and make a long partnership to snatch the game away from the opposition. The opening pair of Sachin Tendulkar and Saurav Ganguly is known as all-time great opening pair because they have the most number of hundred partnership than anyone else. Even today, they are my favourite opening pair. Both together hit 26 times a hundred opening partnership and 29 times a fifty partnership - Still Highest

4) Overall records
Some people call him a "god of cricket" because of the way he has made runs consistently, nobody did it. He has scored more than 36000 runs in international cricket with 101 centuries, seven double centuries, 177 fifties with an average strike rate of 86. In the needy situation, he used to do bowling as well. He has 201 wickets on his name. Many regular bowlers could not do this.

5) First 250+ Partnership
Until 2006, SC Ganguly and SR Tendulkar hold the record of the highest partnership of 256 runs smashed vs Kenya in 2001. Previously, SC Ganguly and SR Tendulkar had a partnership of 252 runs smashed Vs Sri Lanka in 1998. It was the First 250+ partnership in world cricket.

6) The first man to score 200 in One Day International
The highest individual score in the one-day international is 264 which is smashed by Rohit Sharma. There are many players who hit the double century Rohit Sharma, MJ Guptill, V Sehwag, CH Gayle. But the first-ever double century was smashed by best opener Sachin Tendulkar against the strongest bowling side South Africa. It was so much memorable moment for me as well. However, After that many broke his record of hitting a double century.

7) Most Man of the Match and Man of the Series in ODI
Sachin Tendulkar is known for his consistency and techniques. His consistency has been appreciated much time in terms of the Man of the match and man of the series awards. He has won 62 Man of the Match awards (Highest) and 15 man of the series awards which are the highest in ODI Matches. He has won 76 Man of the matches and 20 Man of the series awards overall in ODI and Test. Thus I believe Tendulkar was the Best opener India Had.

When asked about Sachin to Kohli, This is what he replied Tendulkar has carried the burden of the nation for 21 years; It was time we carried him.

I can write down hours on Sachin Tendulkar. But here, our context is who is the best opener and so I feel nobody can beat Sachin Tendulkar when it comes to open the game.

Everyone is a gangster until the Sachin Comes in. LOL

That's all guys
Have a nice day
