What cricket is all about.

Firstly, let me explain briefly on what cricket as a game is about, how it is been played and organized. Some of us here might have heard about it. When I first develop interest in cricket game.

I was so curious about the name because its pronunciation was similar to one popular insect called "cricket" haha, they share the same spellings and pronunciation. Out of my curiosity I learned what cricket is actually all about. That is why I would like to explain so some may not have the mentality I had initially.

Cricket is a game that is been played by two teams consisting of eleven players each. It is been played on a field that is usually 20 metre pitch.

Cricket and football share some similarities on the aspect of eleven players, It is a bat and ball game consisting of two bails balanced on three stumps.

Cricket is a game that is divided into "Overs" and "Innings" an over in cricket consist of 6 balls. In this aspect if all the 6 balls have been bowled by the bowler, He/she must be changed.

In cricket anybody can bowl, in as much as you are in the field and on your team's side but most at times teams usually have 5 or 4 bowlers with 5 or 6 batsmen. Below is an image example of how the game pitch looks like.

According to the free internet encyclopedia site "Wikipedia" has it that the pitch contains central strip of the cricket field between the wickets. Its length is 22 yd (20.12) long and 10 ft (3.05) wide. Cricket is indeed an entertaining game.

My favorite Cricketer.

Since I started showing interest in cricket, I ha e developed love for a players from the south Africa. There are many cricketers in the world even in Nigeria as well. But this guy called "Dale Willem Steyn" has really thrilled me to love Him.

Brief Biography of Dale Willem Steyn.

Dale is from the popular African country "Zimbabwe" He was born in 27 June 1983 in phalaborwa that is located in the north east of south Africa. He is currently 37 of age today. Dale is a cricketer who plays for the south African sides. The well known cricketer is considered to be the fast of all the cricketers.

I love him for the fact that he is very fast on bowling. Around 2008 to 2014 He won the number one ICC test rankings. Dale has really impressed everyone including me. He is married to a beautiful lady called "Jeanne Kietzmann" Below are some awards he has acquired.

Dale is really an amazing cricketer that his bowlings has really inspired most of his fans. Below are some major reasons why I have loved and choose him as my favourite cricketer.

Why I choose Dale Willem steyn as my favorite.

Dale is indeed a person to look unto even if your are not sharing the same career path with him. He is a kind of person that hardly gives up.

It was recently that I developed love for cricket but research has it that during the late 2013 when the Indians toured south Africa, styen was through a longest wicketless phase in the first test at Johannesburg. He later came back to skittle the Indians with a win that made south Africa clinched the series 1-0.

He is cricketer that doesn't relent and that has made him who he is today. Currently he is the 3rd most amazing and wonderful cricketer in the world with too many awards.

He was the leader of south africa during the 2015 world cup of which he was seen as the reason of their failure but even at that he didn't give up, he won the semi final against the new Zealand. Today he is soaring high because of this attitude of not giving up. He is currently playing at Islamabad United.
