Friends, my favorite wicketkeeper is Kumar Sangakkara. He was a Sri Lankan wicketkeeper and batsman I will discuss about him today.

Kumar Sangakkara is the 2nd best wicket keeper-batsman of all time. He is a former Sri Lankan player who was born on 26 October 1986. He is one of the best players in the whole cricket world. Kumar Sangakkara was not only a wicketkeeper but also one of the hopes of the Sri Lankan batting department. He is second only to Sachin Tendulkar in international cricket with 26,017 runs. He also holds many records as a wicket keeper. He made his international debut on 5 July 2000 in a one-day international against Pakistan.



His total number of dismissals as a wicketkeeper in international cricket is 747. In ODI cricket, there are 501 dismissals with 402 catches and 99 stampings, which is the highest dismissal in ODI cricket. A total of 202 dismissals with 162 catches and 20 stampings in the Tests. There are a total of 45 dismissals in T20 with 25 catches and 20 stampings. Although he did not wicketkeeping towards the end of his career. His stats as a batsman are more rich. His total runs in Tests are 12,400 at an average of 56.40. His highest runs in Tests are 319 and 36 centuries. In ODIs, he scored 14234 runs with 25 centuries at an average of 41.97.
