As part of this task, some questions have been left to which the students must answer.

1.- Explain briefly, in your own words, about visual communication design.

Visual Communication Design is the process of transmitting ideas or information through visual messages, that is, by means of images, symbols, gestures or other graphic elements that are developed and disseminated on a channel.

It is one of the branches of design that studies the communicative concept thanks to various media such as images, videos, interactive media and other visual media. So that the information can reach its destination correctly.

In short, it is to transmit information or ideas through visual elements such as the collection of letters, graphics, videos, GIFs, slide shows, infographics, screenshots, etc.

It helps to get messages across faster and more efficiently, as most people today prefer videos and pictures over reading large texts.

2.- Explain the difference between graphic design and visual communication design.

Keep in mind that graphic design is a branch of visual communication design; also the latter is based on the use of visual media, such as videos, short films, documentaries, images, among others; While graphic design has a more limited focus, it only involves creating graphics for advertising, websites, campaigns, and marketing materials.

The main objective of visual communication design is to convey messages or information; while in graphic design a message is not always transmitted, since all the images we see are graphic designs but not all of them transmit a message.

Without reading the text first, we will have an idea of what the image is about just by looking at the illustration; likewise, each illustration on the left side represents a particular suggestion or message that should be applied.

  • Abstract shapes, which added uniqueness and is also easily identifiable. The shadow shape close to the old woman is known as the abstract shape.

  • Geometric shapes, which are located in the left corner of the image. There are circles that are used as a kind of vignettes and that also provide information; There are also rectangular shapes at the top and bottom of the design.
