Hello everyone, I hope y'all are having a nice weekend.

Almost every one of us have heard or come across the term Artificial Intelligence, and while some of us may know what it is, others might not know. So Today I'll be talking about what it is, how it works, How it is applied.

What is Artificial Intelligence ?

So first of we need to know what Artificial Intelligence is and the processes involved.

Artificial intelligence is the simulation of human intelligence processes by machines, especially computer systems.
According to Britannica it is the ability of a digital computer or computer-controlled robot to perform tasks commonly associated with intelligent beings.

Specific applications of AI include expert systems, natural language processing, speech recognition and machine vision.

How does AI work?

AI systems work by ingesting large amounts of labeled training data, analyzing the data for correlations and patterns, and using these patterns to make predictions about future states.
Fully understand how AI works we need to know the various sub domains of Artificial Intelligence and and understand how those domains could be applied into the various fields of the industry.

•Machine learning (ML):
This is the science of getting a computer to act without programming. ML teaches a machine how to make inferences and decisions based on past experience. It identifies patterns, analyses past data to infer the meaning of these data points to reach a possible conclusion without having to involve human experience.

•Machine vision:
This technology gives a machine the ability to see. Machine vision captures and analyzes visual information using a camera, analog-to-digital conversion and digital signal processing. It is used in a range of applications from signature identification to medical image analysis. Computer vision, which is focused on machine-based image processing, is often conflated with machine vision.

Natural Language Processing:
NLP is a science of reading, understanding, interpreting a language by a machine. Once a machine understands what the user intends to communicate, it responds accordingly, Current approaches to NLP are based on machine learning. NLP tasks include text translation, sentiment analysis and speech recognition.

•Neural Networks :
Neural Networks work on the similar principles as of Human Neural cells. They are a series of algorithms that captures the relationship between various underying variabes and processes the data as a human brain does.

•Cognitive Computing :
Cognitive computing algorithms try to mimic a human brain by anaysing text/speech/images/objects in a manner that a human does and tries to give the desired output.

Reactive machines.
These AI systems have no memory and are task specific. An example is Deep Blue, the IBM chess program that beat Garry Kasparov in the 1990s. Deep Blue can identify pieces on the chessboard and make predictions, but because it has no memory, it cannot use past experiences to inform future ones.Reactive machines are designed to complete only a limited number of specialized duties.

Limited memory.
These AI systems have memory, so they can use past experiences to inform future decisions. Some of the decision-making functions in self-driving cars are designed this way. Limited memory AI is created when a team continuously trains a model in how to analyze and utilize new data or an AI environment is built so models can be automatically trained and renewed

Theory of mind.
Theory of Mind is a theoretical concept that says AI could comprehend how humans, animals and other machines feel and make decisions through self-reflection and determination, and then will utilize that information to make decisions of their own. We have not yet achieved the technological and scientific capabilities necessary to reach this next level of artificial intelligence.

Self awareness
Once Theory of Mind can be established the final step will be for AI to become self-aware. This kind of artificial intelligence possesses human-level consciousness and understands its own existence in the world, as well as the presence and emotional state of others.

The development of artificial intelligence is one of the most promising directions in which many developers from all over the world are already working. This niche has a huge potential for app developers and can bring business to a new level.
