It's a pleasure to be taking part in the graphic design class organised by @atim1234 in the Steem Skillshare community, and in this post, I will be presenting answer to the assignment for graphic design class 7 that was undertaken by @lhorgic.
QUESTION ONE
Give a detailed explanation on your understanding about Logo
ANSWER
A logo is simple term is basically a graphically designed symbol, letter, sketches, or marks which can be used to identify a particular company, brand, or product.
Systematically, people tend to recognise a particular logo as being aligned to the product in such a way that once the logo is sighted, people already know which brand owns the logo.
There are also various types of logos which includes:
- Wordmark Logos
- Pictorial Logos
- Abstract Logos
- Mascot Logos
- Lettermark Logos
- Emblem Logos
QUESTION TWO
Pick a very common logo and get the meaning behind all of it components (colour, symbols ,type etc)
ANSWER
With regards to the number two question, I will be selecting "The Hope for African Children Initiative" logo.
Looking closely at the logo, it could be seen that it was specifically designed to eulogize the name of the organisation.
Firstly, the logo can be seen to have the geographical outline of the African Continent.
And secondly, the outline was also used to create a design of two individuals; a child and an adult, and it was also created in such a way that the child is looking up to the adult.

Design a simple flier showing your understanding about Type combination.

My observation
In question 1,there is no depth in your explanation about logo,you should have gone a little bit deeper. In question 3 you did a good job however you seem to be forgetting some of the principles taught in our previous class such as alignment,colour and and type priority.. these things are not well captured in your design. Bear in mind that every class is a buildup. Kudos dear student.
