Graphic design class 2 assignment on pixel lab application

Good day everyone,

It's a pleasure to be taking part in the graphic design class organised by @atim1234 in the Steem Skillshare community, and in this post, I will be presenting answer to the assignment two (2) of the second class that was undertaken by @niglys8.

QUESTION ONE

State two differences between between the "use image from gallery" option and the "from gallery" option.

Answer

To begin with, both options can be used to import images from the gallery. However, the difference in both can be described based on how such imported image can be edited or resized.

When the first option of "use image from gallery", is used in a project, the image that is being imported covers the whole page of the project, and cannot be resized or reshaped.

This is shown in the attached image below.

On the other hand, when the "from gallery" option is used, the image being imported can be resized or reshaped to the appropriate size the graphic designer wants to use.

This is also shown in the attached image below.

The second difference that I can deduce from both options is that both options are kept differently on the background of the application. While the "use image from gallery" option can be accessed through the 3 dots on the top right corner of the application, the "from gallery" option can be accessed by clicking on the plus (+) sign on the left hand side of the application. This difference in the positioning in a way also explains the fact that both options play different roles.

This image below shows the positioning of the 3 dots and (+) sign.

QUESTION TWO

When two text are being merged on the application, what happens?

Answer

It's pertinent to not first of all that the application allows a situation in which text on a project can be designed differently from the other. However, it also enables a process in which all the text on the project can be merged together as one.

However, when two text are merged using the "layer icon" as was described in the lesson, both text now takes the form of an image , and can then be resized, recoloured, or redesigned using the image icon as was described in the lesson.

This is shown in the attached images below.

I want to once again appreciate @atim1234 for the idea of organising the graphic design class which has been of great help in advancing the knowledge of the students and other members of the community at large, and also @nygls8 for the wonderful Graphic Design Class 2 held on the 15th September, 2021.
