It's a pleasure to be taking part in the graphic design class organised by @atim1234 in the Steem Skillshare community, and in this post, I will be presenting answer to the assignment for graphic design class 8 that was undertaken by @nygls8.

QUESTION ONE

List the 4 information that should be gotten from your client before you create an amazing logo.

ANSWER

Logos have come to be a major element used by many companies as a means of identifying their firms and companies. In other words, logos always appears as an abstract means of identifying a company. However, it's important to keep a logo simple, short and clear in order not to complicate the whole idea behind creating a brand for a company.

In addition, there are some basic information that will be required from the client in order to create a perfect logo for a brand. This information are explained below:

• The brand name: Most enterprises will prefer to use their company initials to create a logo for the company. This makes the brand name important, as a logo which deviates from the name of the brand might be considered awkward.

• What the brand does: The services the brand provides also comes into play, as a logo might have an element of the hardware used by the company. A company that involves itself in fashion designing might decide to use scissors or measurement tape in the design of its logo.

• The brand colour: This is also very important as some brands identities itself with a particular colour. Using another colour for their logo design might not go well with the owners of the company. For instance the logo of some states comes attached with the colour used in identifying that state.

• The brand slogan: This is also important, as the slogan of a particular organisation can be used in the design of their logo. Whether in form of using it initials, or using the complete slogan.

QUESTION TWO

Create a simple " LETTERMARK" logo design for a beauty brand and show picture screenshots of the process involved.

ANSWER

The screenshots and processes used in creating the above logo design are stated below;

The process started off with the selection of an orange background and adding of the desired text.

A font for the initials was selected, after which a more elaborate text was added to the design.

A background was imported from the gallery, and was also sent "to back". And the opacity was reduced to 25.

And here's the final design.

I want to once again appreciate @atim1234 for the idea of organising the graphic design class which has been of great help in advancing the knowledge of the students and other members of the community at large, and also @nygls8 for the wonderful Graphic Design class 8 held on the 4th of October, 2021.
