Floral Pattern Design For Beginners|| Illustrator CC Tutorial || Steem Skillshare Class: 01

Greetings everyone, Today in this blog I'm going to show you making floral pattern design in illustrator CC application. This tutorial for newbie designers experts make more beautiful floral pattern. This is a kind of classic floral pattern, old fashioned design. This is my first tutorial or class: 01 for beginners, I wish new designers will enjoy creating this design. I'm going to share a video tutorial with this blog that may help you to learn every single step. Okay let's get start.

Final output of floral pattern background

This is the finale output of floral pattern background, same design on black background and white background. You can change the background with any color when you try to export it for save for web(legacy) so go to File>export>save for web(legacy) to understand it well, you can see the images below 👇

In the next images you can find the whole process of this design and I'll explain to make you understand and at the end I'll share the video tutorial of whole process if you find it useful. Try to practice and you can create something better than this, Good luck.

At first take a new file, take the artboard according to your wish, I've taken 8000x8000px to make a large pattern. After taking the artboard I drawn at first a round shape to make the flower head and used pen too to draw petals of a flower.

• Took a round shape by holding shift key and selecting Ellipse too changed color of it by clicking on color pallet . Now select pen too to draw the petal above the round shape by holding shift key.

STEP: 03

• Select the Rotate tool and put the point at the middle of the round shape, By holding alt key make a copy of the petal as shown in the step: 03 image above.

STEP: 04

• Press ctrl key+d to create multiples petal around the round shape Your flower is ready to make a pattern now. Select all and go to Object>pattern>make

STEP: 05

You can select any tile type to make a good pattern of this flower. Select done! See images above to get clear concept.

You can change the background this way and you'll be done. You can save it as eps, ai, pdf, jpeg, png and in other file format. The process is very easy. Try some pattern design you'll enjoy creating this kind of pattern.
