CLASS 8 GRAPHIC DESIGN APPLICATION ASSIGNMENT ON LOGO CREATION by @madilyn02

Greetings to all friends, teachers and fellow students of this graphic design class. This is the last assignment post for the first section of this amazing class. I'm so glad to have attended all classes and to have submitted all assignments for this section.

This last class was taken by teacher @niglys8 who took her time to explain in steps how to create a simple logo.

Now please dear friends, continue reading as I am about to answer the assignment questions below:

Question 1

List the 4 information that should be gotten from your client before you create an amazing logo

We all know that the importance of logo is truly undeniable.
Logo creates brand awareness and communicates the company's message to many.
Since logos play this important role, it is crucial that we get it right.
So before making the logo we need to engage in communication with our clients.

The 4 basic questions to ask our clients are

(1) What is the brand name?

A brand name distinguishes ones business from another, including the brand name in the logo will help to create uniqueness of the brand.
We will need to know the name of the brand to which we are designing a logo. Knowing the name of the company will tell us a lot about the design we are about to make. If the company name is too is too long then we may need to discuss with him in the abbreviation to use in place of the full company name.

(2) What does the brand/company represent?

The description we get about the company purpose can help give us insight on how the logo should be.

(3) Does the brand have a motto or tagline?

It's always good to ask our clients if there is any slogan or tagline for a letter mark logo we want to create for him.
Including a tagline to a letter mark logo can help to create awareness of the main purpose of the company.

(4) Does the brand have any color?

Yes, it's important to inquire of the color of the brand to which we are designing a logo.
If there is any then we need to ask what the color is so as to use it for the logo.

Question 2

Create a simple " LETTERMARK" logo design for a beauty brand and show picture screenshots of the process involved

My design

Steps I took in preparing my design

• After opening the pixel lab application, I chose white as my background color.
  I clicked on the text option and typed C in bold. I worked with the original black color of the text.
  

I then clicked on the font icon and selected the BOYCOTT font.

I then clicked on the text and added the text elena in small letters. I than chose a font for it.

• After that I clicked on the shape option from the add option. I also reduced the opacity of the shape by 0% and reduce the stroke width to 6

I then changed the color to yellow.

• I then added another shape and stationed it at the top right corner of my design. I then merged the two shapes together.

• After that I erased the area to which I had added a second shape.

I then added a tagline. Your top jewelry collection and changed the font.

• I went further to click on the from galleryoption to inputy downloaded google background image.
  I also reduced the image opacity by 60%.

• Next I clicked the To back option to place the image to the back as a background image.

I then crosschecked my work to see if everything was alligned well
And then made some necessary corrections.
