The problem with agendas in science

To increase the rate in warming, NOAA scientists put more weight on certain ocean buoy arrays, adjusted ship-based temperature readings upward, and slightly raised land-based temperatures as well. Scientists said adjusted ship-based temperature data “had the largest impact on trends for the 2000-2014 time period, accounting for 0.030°C of the 0.064°C trend difference.” They added that the “buoy offset correction contributed 0.014°C… to the difference, and the additional weight given to the buoys because of their greater accuracy contributed 0.012°C.”

The average heat in our house is hot. Being the age they are, my parents like to keep the thermostat at 80 F (roughly 27 C). Our house, being the age that it is varies in temperature. My "bedroom" is way too hot, while the room I actually have started to sleep in is heated only during the day. It is slightly below freezing outside, so you get a sense of the temperatures I feel comfortable at. When I vacationed in Costa Rica, I didn't have a problem acclimating to the heat. Some parts of Canada have been around -50 degrees over the past couple of days. Imagine going in and out of those communities when there would be a 70 to 90-degree centigrade difference between indoor and outdoor temperatures.

What happens when a scientific office actively promotes the idea that humans are causing climate change finds that there has been a hiatus for seven years where the temperature has not increased despite increases in CO2 levels. Do you manipulate the data as NOAA did in 2015, or do you report the actual data? Without a doubt, some places have been warmer this year, while others have been colder. It isn't the hottest year on record (need to go back to 1953). Plants are not dying from too much CO2 (crop production has increased).
