The 4G which signifies the fourth generation of cellular network is a network that succeeded the 3G network and is preceded by the 5G network,it is a network with over 50 percent of all mobile connections made on it.
It emerged and was release to the public in the year 2019,hence providing faster data rates,lower latency,speed and other significant efficiencies which inturn improved cellular network In the world today.
It is no doubt that many of us still like basking on our beloved 4G and LTE networks rather than the 5G because it is much more popular among us today and readily available unlike the 5G network that is yet to get to some region and also yet to be compatible with some smartphones.

But not to worry,your days of battling this issue is over.

TOGGLE ON AND OFF THE AIRPLANE MODE ON YOUR PHONE.
This is perhaps the easier and simplest way to fix network issue on your phone.
Toggling on and off the airplane mode on your device has a way of refreshing the phone memory and also the phone network whereby stimulating and causing it to connect to the fastest available network around your region.
After turning off and on the airplane mode on your device,your phone would connect to the 4G network and a 4G text will appear at the top of your network bars.This indicates that it has been connected.
The reason why most time you have to toggle off and on the airplane mode on your phone is because sometimes the 4G network requires or need some kind of troubleshooting activity to come back to life and work on your device.
CHECK YOUR NETWORK SETTINGS ON YOUR PHONE.
Another reason why you are having issues with 4G on your phone is the fact that some of our device are not compatible with the 4G network,but if your device is compatible with the 4G and you are still having issues with connectivity,then it is only pragmatic that you check your mobile phone connection settings.
This is because you might have ignorantly or unknowingly put your mobile connection on 3G or 2G network which can be very slow.
In order to clarify that your phone is not on a slower network and to also connect your phone to the 4G network, follow this simple steps:
•Go to your phone settings
•Select **network and internet/mobile network **.
•Tap on preferred network mode,once you do this,a pop up menu will appear.
•Choose 2G/3G/4G(auto)
•Anything you wish to pick should atlest have 4G in it.
It is important to note that you shouldn't pick only 4G mode,this is because it can affect phone calls on your phone.
After the proper selection,you can toggle off and on the airplane mode again to see if it worked.
ENSURE YOUR SIM CARD AND PHONE ARE 4G COMPATIBLE.
Even with all this tips and tricks to fix 4G not working on your device,if your sim card and phone are not compatible with 4G, everything here is useless.
If your sim supports 4G but your phone doesn't,it still won't work,vise versa for when the phone supports it but the sim card doesn't.
Many of the phone manufactured today are built with the 4G chip in them and some even having the 5G chip already,only few smartphones are still basking on 3G network, perhaps to save cost.
So to be able to enjoy 4G on your device,you have to upgrade your sim card to 4G network and also get a phone that supports 4G.
However,if you are making use of a dual sim card mobile device,you might want to confirm which sim slot operates on 4G network as sometimes,dual sim card smartphone only comes with one Sim slot that supports 4G network.
EJECT,CLEAN AND INSERT THE SIM CARD BACK INTO THE DEVICE.
This trick is also effective in fixing the issue of 4G not working on your device.
Removing the sim card from the phone and carrying out physical cleaning on the sim can increase the chances of the 4G network coming back to life on your phone.
Sometimes,dirt and dust might be the reason why the sim isn't connecting well to the nearest available network around your region,so it is advisable to remove the sim from the phone,clean it and insert it back in.

INSTALL SYSTEM/SOFTWARE UPDATE ON YOUR DEVICE.
Installing the phone software update can go a long way in fixing this issue.
This is because most times the reason why your device refuses to connect to 4G network is because of some software bug present on your device.
So the Installation of a new software device update for your phone refreshes your device and makes it go back to being new in internally (software wise) and hence boost the chances of 4G connectivity on your phone as it helps to clean the phone and resolve tons of bugs on the system.
CONTACT YOUR SERVICE PROVIDER OR VISIT A TECHNICIAN TO HAVE YOUR PHONE CHECKED.
If after trying all of this method and fixes,the problem still persists,then it is high time you called your service provider.
The issue might be that the network carrier in is faulty or needs to be fixed or maybe you are having network outage in your area and lastly your sim might be faulty and needs to be fixed or upgraded.
Once you call your service provider,they will definitely know what is wrong and how to fix it.
If you confirm that everything is fine with your sim card and your settings on your phone is correct,then the fault might be from phone itself,the phone might be suffering from hardware defect that requires the attention of a phone technician.
hence, it is advisable to take such phone to a repairer's shop for fixing.
