I trust we are all doing well today.
I am glad we are all doing great.
so,here is my assignment for graphic design class 7 by @lhorgic.

ASSIGNMENT

1.DETAILED UNDERSTANDING ON LOGO

Logo are pictures/image,signs,text,shapes or combination of these element which are use in publicizing, exposing and showcasing what you do(business,brand, organization).

It is a visual representation used in identifying a particular brand or business organization.

In designing a logo, certain factors need to be put into consideration..
below are a few
•Logo must be precise,clear and easy to decipher or interpret by audience or customers who come across it.(SIMPLICITY)

•Choice of fonts,shape,image and symbol must be outstanding and unique.

•Logo must dispicts perfectly what a brand or business does or is known for.

•it should be memorable,so that when audience or customers come across it once,it will stick and register in their mind,so that when they come across it again they would be able to recall what it represents and what brand it symbolises.

It is also pragmatic of me to highlight the types of logo design we have,so that we would be able to differentiate them when we see them.
here are the types of logo designs:

•PICTORIAL LOGOs: pictorial logos are sometimes reffered to as ICON or SYMBOL which serves as logo for a brand or company.
it is an image icon that when you see it,your brain automatically interprets what it represents because it is very easy to translate,eg
-facebook logo(the F sign)
-Snapchat logo (the bell like sign)
and tweeter logo(the bird sign).
these logos are easy to recognize when you come across them.

•WORDMARK LOGO: These is a kind of logo that always include the company name as the symbol,no badge or emblem, just text..pure text using attractive fonts.

•ABTRACT LOGO: Abstract just like the word which means existing in thought not real is a particular type of pictorial logos that makes use of recognizable image.

It is a way of reproducing ones thought or imagination into creating an art that can easily be translated by other.
for instance,the play button▶️ and the pause ⏸️ button,that is the idea of the representation,it is just a mere idea that was birthed by someone and we can easily translate it.
This logo are easily recognized when you see one.

•MASCOT LOGO:This logo illustrate the character dispiction of a brand or company,the logo has a way of visualizing the name of a brand or business using image for it Representation.
It is good for companies that want to create a great and strong tie or connection with their customers.

•COMBINATION LOGO:These logo just like it sounds is created by combining two or more logo types together.
Either by combination of WORDMARK logo and pictorial logos or any other combination.it is a text and picture combination.

•EMBLEM:This logo is more like a symbolic badge that dispicts what a brand do or is known for,just by seeing it.
Most sport club make use of this emblem type of logo because it serves as badge,schools also make use of it as badge for uniform.
Most big automobile company also make use of it too.

2.PICK A COMMON LOGO AND GET MEANING BEHIND ALL IT COMPONENTS

NIKE which happens to be a global shoe making company is known for it unprecedented logo.
The NIKE SWOOSH logo is a pronounced evidence of how a visual identity can turn business into a household company and brand.

Here is a tabular represent of all the components there is to know about the NIKE SWOOSH logo

shape	wing shape[signifies the Greek goddess of victory which inturn symbolises speed,movement and power.
symbol	Nike sign(wing)
fonts	san serif
Type	Futura extra bold condensed with minor tweaks and was later transited into using TRADE GOTHIC as the primary typeface of the brand.

3.DESIGN A SIMPLE FLIER

I made use of 2 fonts in my design
-Script font:Alexbrush regular
-San serif: Armwrestle.

Colour
-Blacks,pure orange and white, but I hope we haven't forgetten that white and black shouldn't be considered as colours in graphic design.
I also added an image of an exicted little girl to make my design more attractive and to portray and make pronounced the message writing on the design which is "PROMO SALES"

CONCLUSION

Type Combination is a very important lesson in graphic designing class,many amateur in the graphic design field struggle and make mistake in the process of combining types,but with this simple and well exhaustive lesson,I have been able to comprehend how to combine type without flaws.
I also won't fail to acknowledge my GD teacher @lhorgic for this wonderful lesson,and also my sincere gratitude to the headmaster for this amazing innovation in this community.
