Good day, Steem Skillshare community!

How are you all doing? This time, I'd like to share some graphic design skills with you.
This time, I'll teach you about color gamut in graphic design.

Because the explanation of this subject is fairly lengthy, I'll break it up into numerous pieces.

Okay, let's get started!

Color Gamut refers to the range of hues in the color spectrum produced by certain technologies that can be seen and recognized by the human eye.

It appears to be as follows:

The RGB color system is the most basic color scheme utilized by displays to show pictures (red, green, and blue).

As a result, the range of colors that the monitor can emit is presented in x and y coordinate lines that create a triangle line. Where the triangle's coordinates contain the red, green, and blue color sections,

The collection of three-dimensional colors is one of the most essential components of the color gamut. This implies that when generating a color gamut, it must be a three-dimensional graphic with three components: hue, saturation, and lightness, as seen below:

Because digital devices such as displays, cellphones, digital cameras, projectors, scanners, and printers each have their own color limits, the color output provided by each device might change.

As a result, internationally recognized color standards were developed to serve as a reference for manufacturers creating these digital devices in order to control how a color is shown as a color gamut.

Of course, whether painting or editing images on a computer, the outcome of the image already appears the way you want. However, when we view it on a smartphone, the color changes, perhaps becoming darker or more faded.

To avoid this, we must be aware of the various color profiles in advance so that the photographs we have stay color consistent when opened on different devices.

Color Recognition in RGB and CMYK

When you create a new document in a picture editing program, you will see this color profile choice.

  • What exactly are RGB and CMYK?

  • RGB is Red, Green, and Blue.

  • CMYK is Cyan, Magenta, Yellow, and Black

RGB colors are light-produced colors that are utilized to show digital pictures on displays.

Colors created by printer ink are known as CMYK. CMYK colors are appropriate for presenting pictures in print since the RGB color spectrum is greater than CMYK.
