Im writing a short south korean history(please suggest me if Im missing somthing)

South Korea has a long and complex history that has shaped the country into what it is today. The earliest known civilization in the region was the Old Joseon Kingdom, which was founded in 2333 BC and lasted until the late 19th century. During this time, the kingdom was ruled by a series of kings and was known for its advanced culture and society.

In 1910, Japan annexed Korea and ruled the peninsula as a colony until the end of World War II in 1945. During this time, many Koreans resisted Japanese rule and fought for independence.
