Best of India contest| My favorite festival| Diwali

Hey everyone...I'm here today with my contest post "My Favorite Festival" in @bestofindia

DIWALI 🌠🎁
The most meaningful important and auspicious of all the festivals and also my favorite festival to celebrate. The lights, the lamps, sweets, the fire crackers, happy & cheerful environment and so on. During Diwali, all of these things make even the saddest of souls feel elated.

When is it celebrated? 🤔
The festival is celebrated between the end of rainy seasons and beginning of winter. More precisely in the Month of Kartik on Amavasya day. The light and lamps turns the dark night of Amavasya into the shining night of Purnima (Full moon). Diwali is also a celebration of Goddess Lakshmi. We worship Goddess Lakshmi for peace and prosperity.

Why DIWALI is celebrated? 🙄
Diwali is celebrated for many reasons, one reason is that the rice crops are ready and farmers are elated.
One other popular reason to celebrate is the return of Prabhu Shri Ram Chandra to Ayodhya after fourteen years of exile in jungles during Treta Yuga, He came home after his victory over Asur King Ravana. People of Ayodhya celebrated his return with cleaning their houses, bundle of lights and diyas, sweets and what not.

Why DIWALI is my favorite?
The reason why it intrigues me is that this is celebrated on Amavasya day and even after it being an Amavasya, when people are not suppose to start anything new,
in many cultures, Diwali marks the beginning of a new year. We make our own Purnima by brighten up each corners of the city/town and convert a gloomy Amavasya night into
a bright Purnima night. Most importantly it brings positivity and enhances Brotherhood.

Me enjoying my favorite festival

Different regions and cultures celebrate Diwali in different ways. All of them are one in saying that the festival marks the triumph of good over evil.

How do we celebrate Diwali?💡
Yes, Diwali has been always a special festival to us. I personally don't feel like burning crackers but it is a great joy to see others enjoying the festival.
Family, festivity, fireworks and good food ..all this includes in celebration.

Fire crackers (Sparkler/Phuljhadi)✴️
We wish our friends, relatives and to every known person. The most important part is making Rangoli, For me it usually takes hours to complete it. Then we decorate our corners with lights, Diyas and candles.
