Attempted suicide illegal, not if successful

The law states that a successful suicide is legal, but failure to succeed might land you in jail. This is based on the notion that if the person dies, the matter dies with him/her. But, should they survive, they stand answerable and punishable for their action.

The flying permit

The Indian Aircraft Act of 1934 considers a kite to also be an aircraft thus making it necessary to get a permit to fly one. As is apparent, this law has never been followed and should be dealt away with immediately.Negligent flying of a kite is punishable by imprisonment of 2 years or a fine of up to Rs.10,00,000.

Littering
Littering is illegal and comes under Section 278 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) – making the atmosphere noxious to health. A person found littering a public place in India can be fined up to Rs.500.

Piracy

Piracy is another common law that we often break in India. Downloading movies, music, software or other such copyrighted content from the internet is against the Indian Copyright Law and the person can be tried under both civil and criminal law.
Under the Indian Copyright Act, copyright infringement can land you in jail for a period of seven days to three years. Additionally, the statutory fines range from Rs.50,000 to Rs.2,00,000.

Legal Drinking Age

One of the most required Indian laws is the law which determines the legal drinking age. It is different from each state and in some states, it goes up to 25 years of age. It is very strange that a citizen has the right to elect the Government by voting at 18 years of age but is not considered as mature enough to decide if they can consume alcohol or not.
