What is meant by dooj?
The festival of Bhai Dooj is the celebration of unconditional love bond between sister and brother. On this day, sisters apply red tika on the forehead of their brothers and pray for their well-being. This is similar to the Rakshabandhan in which brother promises to his sister that he will always protect her.
