Best of India Contest || My favourite Indian food ๐|| 25-08-2021
Hello everyone, I hope you all are fine, safe and doing great. It always exciting to participate in @bestofindia community's contest.
I'm glad to be a part of this strong community. This contest is interesting and unique and I would love to share my favourite Indian food and place where I love to eat.
I am gonna share my mother's recipe of chole puri which I love to eat all the time.
Indian food is rich and flavorful in every bite. It's hard to choose one particular dish but here is my most favourite dish chole and puri.
First I'm gonna talk about the homemade food and share the recipe with you all.
Homemade Favourite Food
Chole Puri
Chole puri is a Indian food and loved by everyone around India.
We make this recipe sometimes on special occasions and most of us indian loved this recipe.
It's my favourite Indian pleasure food which is wholesome and tasty.
Let's talk about the ingredients we need to make this yummy recipe.
Ingredients
โช๏ธ Chickpeas
โช๏ธ Onion
โช๏ธ Tomatoes
โช๏ธ Ginger and garlic
โช๏ธ Spices
โช๏ธ Whole spice
โช๏ธ Salt
Step 1
Take raw chickpeas according to your preference and soaked them overnight. Wash them thoroughly and pressure cooked it with 1 table spoon of salt.
Now I add 3 tomatoes into the pressure cooker with chickpeas so that the tomatoes cooked well and it's easily incorporate with the paste.
Step 2
While our chickpeas cooks we chopped the onions and garlic.
We already soaked them overnight so it wouldn't take too long to cook the chickpeas. It took around 25-30 minutes.
After it cooked I took out the tomatoes from pressure cooker.
Step 3
Now chopped Ginger slices and take whole spices such as bay leaf, black peppercorns, cinnamon stick, black cardamom and cumin seeds.
And put all the whole spices into the hot oil.
Step 4
Now add hing and chopped onion into the oil and cook until the onion turns golden brown.
Step 5
Now add turmeric powder I am cooked tomatoes into the pan and let it fry for 2-5 minutes.
Step 6
Now we add all the Powder spices like turmeric powder, red chilli powder, black pepper powder and salt as per your taste. Let it cooked for good minutes.
Step 7
Now cook the paste will until the oil gets separated from the paste. Then we add water and cook the paste for few more minutes then we add cooked chickpeas into paste and let it go ok for 10 to 15 minutes.
Our chole is ready to serve with puries.
How much it cost
The whole dish will cost around 375 to 400 INR and approximately 5.39 USD if we buy everything according to this recipe.

The GT road restaurants one of my favourite places to have my favourite food which is in Delhi near Connaught Place.
Ambience and surrounding of this restaurant is so good and it has buffet serving system.
You can totally enjoy your day evening with your family members and friends. The quality and taste of the food is so good and most importantly staff and service is brilliant.
I love the taste of there chole dish. It was so rich and flavorful.

Chole puri and chole bhature seems to be taking the lead in the favorite food list. I think more and more people are into it. Also this one however I have noticed to be the expensive place for eating like 1K is a bit much. Thanks for posting in the contest. :)

Yes, it's expensive but you can have unlimited buffet which means variety of foods from starters to main course, desserts, cake, pizza, even momos almost everything you think of.
It's good for someone who eats good amount of food.

Yes quite expensive but you can have unlimited buffet. It's good for someone who is foodie and have good capacity for eating. Hehe
