In this 14th season of the Indian premier league, IPL's first qualifier round between Chennai Super Kings VS Delhi Capitals results are out.
Chennai Super Kings beat the Delhi Capitals by 8 wickets in the first qualifier round. Again the Dhoni team booked a spot in a final of the Indian Premier League IPL 2021 which is played in Dubai International Cricket Stadium.

Chennai Super Kings won the toss and opt to bowl first because in this season whenever they chase, they have won. In the first innings, Delhi Capitals set a target of 175 runs. Prithvi Shaw and Shikhar Dhawan came to bat in the first innings and Shaw scored 60 runs in 34 balls, while captain Rishabh Pant and Shimron Hetmyer score 51 not out in 34 balls , and 37 runs in 24 balls respectively after DC scored 172 for 5 in 20 overs.

In the chase of 173 runs that Delhi capitals were made, Chennai Super Kings lost their opener Faf du Plessis in the first over of the second inning. But after that 110 run partnership between Ruturaj Gaikwad (70 runs) and Robin Uthappa (63 runs) put Chennai Super Kings back in the game. In a counter-attack, the bowlers of Delhi Capitals also showed their best skills to gets some wickets. Tom Curran get 2 wickets in an over that brought DC back in the game. Chennai Super Kings requires only 13 runs in the last 6 balls when a vintage Mahendra Singh Dhoni knock helped them get over the finishing line. Dhoni hit a 4 in square cut and then pulled DC’s best bowler Tom Curran for the most celebrated T20 boundary of recent times Chennai will now play the final on Friday. Dhoni hit the winning runs with the strike rate of 300 and not out.
