How are you all? I hope everyone is fine. #BOI has given us the opportunity to plan a trip under 50 USD for which I'm very thankful to the community. This contest not only brings smiles and excitement to us but also gives us motivation and consolidation to think about an awesome adventure we were missing in between the lockdown.

MY PLAN FOR THE ROAD TRIP

I was planing for a trip for so long to #Chandigarh also known as the City Beautiful. It is a Union Territory and capital of both Punjab and Haryana. Chandigarh is very much famous for its cleanliness and greenery. I would visit Chandigarh with my best friend and my favorite person 'My Uncle Kapoor Singh'. He always encourages me to go out and look around the beauty of the world with my friends but I'm a hard nut to crack and I love to stay in my shell. I feel much comfortable with him.

How I Plan My Trip

SO after knowing the main attractions and where to find them I made a route for myself. As per the timings are concerned I don't get much time to visit one place so I choose the places which come in sequence in addition to my route.

Time Schedule

FIRST DESTINATION
I will pack my necessary things one day prior to the trip. as we choose to go by our personal car. we will start the journey from our HOME at 4:00 am in the morning. I prefer to go early in the morning as this gives a kickstart ahead of your trip.

HOME TO ROSE GARDEN

So, the journey starts, and the first stop is ROSE GARDEN, it is famous for its variety of roses (approx. 1600 species). it is a beautiful place to visit and especially morning in the garden is the best thing.

Time:- As we start at 4 am we will arrive there and 8 am - 8:15 am.
1hr45min stay at rose garden between 8:15 am - 10 am
Travel Distance:- Home to the garden is 232 KM.

SECOND DESTINATION
Time for some awesome homemade breakfast(Pro tip- Buy fruits to eat while on trips, it saves money and promotes good health and try to bring food from home just as I do)

ROSE GARDEN TO ROCK GARDEN

The rock garden is our second destination point and the most relaxing place to visit (obviously if there's only you). These gardens have a story about how its made. It was not a planned project but it was made because of Nek Chand.

Time:-we arrived here at 10:30 while roaming around for 20 minutes.
10:30 am - 12:00am stay at rock garden
Travel distance:- rose garden to rock garden is 5km and it takes only 10 min to reach there.

THIRD DESTINATION

After visiting two gardens and with tons of memories and beautiful flowers sightseeing, it is now time to another destination but first, let's have our lunch.

ROCK GARDEN TO SUKHNA LAKE

so the third destination is sukhna lake(सुखना झील) and it is famous for boating. the beautiful blue lake mesmerized the soul of the one who looks deep inside. It is said that your Chandigarh journey is incomplete without boating in the sukhna lake.

TIME:- we arrived sukhna lake within five minutes after departure from rock gardens.
we stay there for about 2+ hours and enjoyed boating and the views of the lake till3pm
Travel Distance:- the distance is just 1.1 km from the rock garden.

FOURTH DESTINATION

3'o clock noon and heading to the fourth destination. my uncle must be annoyed by now as there is no hard-hitting music in the car till now. I will let him play his favorite songs while we drive and talked about each other. Now, we are going to the spot which I was most excited about The Pinjore Garden.

SUKHNA LAKE TO PINJOR GARDEN

Pinjore Garden is known for its beauty and architecture. the gardens were made in the 17th century under Mughal style architecture. it is worth watching. it gives a similar look to the wonderful TAJ MAHAL.

Time:-we arrived at 3:40 pm in the evening to have some coffee and snacks.
we stay there for more than 1.5hrs between 3:50 pm - 5:30 pm
Travel Distance:- from sukhna lake to pinjore garden the distance is 21 km and can be traveled within 40 minutes.

FIFTH DESTINATION

It's a good evening and we're far away from the house so better get back but wait: we have all the time in the world then let's check out the famous Elante mall of Chandigarh.

PINJOR GARDEN TO ELANTA MALL

Elante Mall is the 10th largest mall in #INDIA and is the pride of Chandigarh. the signage board of I LOVE CHANDIGARH is something that caught your attention.

TIME:- we arrived at the mall at about 6:15 and roamed around there till 7:30 pm and now it's time to go back home.
Distance Travelled:- from pinjor garden to elanta mall the distance is 20 km, 35 minutes will take to cover this distance

MOVING BACK TO HOME

We've covered five beautiful places in Chandigarh and now we are off to home. let's have some pocket snacks. we are almost 238km away from home.

Conclusion:- At the I would like to add that when I was in school, every year there is a trip and we all have so much fun being on the bus. we never thought of enjoying sightseeing but we play on the bus with our friends But time flies and days become a memory.

I remember I visited Chandigarh back in 2008 with my family and had great fun. i look forward to again visit there someday and that would be awesome.
