BACKGROUND

According to mythology it is believe that the there was a king named as Hirnakashyap always praised demons but his son Prahlad did not like his attitude towards god and went to worship lord vishnu and always chant the gods name in every situation and this belief of his son in god angry him to to core.

he got so angry with his son's behavior that he decided to through prahlad into flames of Holika (who is demon and hirnakashyap's sister). prahlad chant his god's name and happily went into the flames and instead of his death, holika burnt into her own flames and burnt till her death.

Despite of extreme celebration and happiness people do misbehave on this auspicious day by drinking alcohol and illegal stuffs and what not. but I always love this festival as I loves to play this festival with colours along with my love ones and friends. friends are the main reason why everyone loves this festival. Its always beautiful and crazy to plaay holi with friends as sometimes its get wild as they do tears each others shirt and plays with mud, but it was fun.
