Best of India (BOI)

Objective-- To invite all the active users to collaborate and delegate to a single account, consolidate the small amounts of SP mostly sitting idle/ineffective in different user accounts to a single account so that we can serve better in terms of supporting their content with a better upvote value.

It aims to train social behavior/activities in Steem Blockchain to foster the sense of a community.

The users will also earn better curation rewards. The curation reward will be distributed in proportion to the delegated SP. Best of India community will give 100% curation reward to the delegators.

We will also push Newcomers to complete at least up to Achievement Tasks 4 so that they develop a better understanding of what is Spam/Plagiarism and they will get to know the Markdown styling which is an important aspect of the better presentation of a blog.

Curators

There will be four curators, with different curators each week. They will be selected from the community of Best of India.

The idea is to make it a sustainable and self-reliant community. The newcomers will be guided and will be given all the tutorials/materials to present their blog in the best possible way.

Once newcomers gather experience and develop a better understanding and depending upon their progress they will be selected as curators.

In the initial two months, the Mods will be performing the role of Curators with the @bestofindia account.

From December onwards, the curators will be chosen from the community. They will also be compensated with 20 STEEM per week. This amount will increase as we progress and depending on the amount of work. The curators will be given the posting key of @bestofindia account.

Label

There will be five different labels:-

• Mod
• Curator
• Member
• Delegator
• Pro-Member

Mod will set 10% of the Beneficiary of their post to the @bestofindia account.

The curators and the members will always be beneficiary of the reward pool of the @bestofindia account (1000 STEEM) for the specified roles/task/activity.

The one who has delegated SP to @bestofindia account will be labeled as a Delegator. He/she will earn delegator rewards on the 8th of each month. If he/she has delegated and he is posting in Best of India community will be labeled as Member. So apart from earning delegation rewards, he will also be a beneficiary of 1000 STEEM reward pool.

Any member who has completed up to Achievement Task 4 will be labeled as Pro-Member. There is a BOI pool of 100 STEEM to reward the Newcomers who complete Tasks up to 4 and up to 6. See the reward pool break-up for more details.

If a new member has recently joined and starts posting he will be called a member, but he has to delegate his SP(whatever he generates) every week to @bestofindia account to continue the membership.

If someone is posting in the Best of India community, but he has not delegated his SP(despite having SP), then he will not be given any label. To become a member you need to delegate(and to delegate every week) and post as well.

The emphasis will be given to activity, engagement, therefore we will also enforce the "activity criteria" upon the members to be a beneficiary of the BOI(Best of India) pool. Any inactivity for 4 weeks will render a member as an inactive member and there won't be any label for an inactive member; an inactive member is not a beneficiary of BOI pool.

BOI will also collaborate with project Affable. It will encourage the members to participate in the ongoing initiatives and any future initiatives by Steemit Team such as #betterlife #steemcryptochallenge #thediarygame (or similar programs) to optimize the earning. Any member who has the highest number of (1C+2C) comments(within the BOI community) will earn an additional 20 STEEM from the BOI pool each month.

1C- 1st layer comments
2C- 2nd, 3rd, 4th layer comments and so on

Reward Pool

A reward pool of 1000 STEEM will be created to reward the local talents, to help the Newcomers achieve 500 SP, to help them graduated in the Newcomers program, and to generate extrinsic motivation to keep them engaged in the long run.

All the effort, consistency, and quality content will be rewarded. However, emphasis will always be given on the newly joined to reach 500 SP in all possible means if they show their keen interest in this platform.

Those who won't power-down will also be rewarded from a pool of 50 STEEM.

BOI Reward Pool- 1000 STEEM

We expect this pool of 1000 STEEM to achieve by the first week of December. So until December 2020, we will keep on adding to this pool. the immediate objective is to keep building the community with the available resources. We also aim to keep a minimum buffer of 1000 STEEM in the BOI pool at any given time.

Once we sufficiently grow, we will reach out to some of the sponsors locally who can support us. We will professionally handle this community, we will try our best to make it a learning ground for the college-going students and a fulfilling platform for the potential bloggers and professional bloggers.

The BOI pool caters to a range of tasks/activites-- music, art, dance, newcomers tasks, curating, proof-of-stay(backpackers), engagement/comments, no-power-down, quality blogging, contest, etc. It will keep on expanding this as and when needed.

Type of Content @bestofindia will be catering to

It is open to all types of content. However, we are keen to prioritize a few areas where we see a genuine business use cases where the coin like SBD potentially gets mainstream. It is a continuous process and long term objective.

For example, we might connect with few Backpackers Hostels to write a review on their stay on a particular hostel along with proof-of-stay. If we see healthy participation we might reward a few of them or might even consider funding their one-day stay in any of the hostels per month. Every month there will be a contest and we look forward to funding the stay of 3 people who are consistent in the Best of India community.

We will also spend some amount of money on marketing. We will reach out to a few influencers in the mainstream centralized platform who can potentially bring their followers to this platform. We will reward them if they show genuine interest in this platform.

Conclusion

We are of the opinion that it is hard to retain someone in this platform only on the basis of monetary reward(without value addition). It is a social platform in its first place, therefore anyone joining this platform through the BOI community will be be made to understand the idea of a community and how important engagement is, in fostering the sense of community.

We will try our best to manage a perfect balance of intrinsic motivation(socializing, quality blogging) and extrinsic motivation(monetary rewards).

We will strive to bring potential bloggers, quality bloggers to this platform. We will get to know the contour of the community in the next 2/3 months, accordingly, we will keep adjusting the resources to bring optimal effect in building a powerful community. We might need the support of @steemcurator01 in the initial phase to get off to a smooth start.

We will submit our weekly and monthly report of this community regularly and will also assess our position and role from time to time with regard to 3Rs- Recruitment+Reward+Retention.
