As I was exploring communities on this wonderful platform #steemit, I bumped into this interesting community of @Birthdays&Memorial where you can share about the happiness of your natal days and mourning of departing day of a loved one.

Today, I will be sharing to you my life's heroine. Last March 20, 2021 - Saturday, marked the day where my granny departed and returned to our almighty creator. It has been 15 days since she left us, but the pain and sorrows are still in our heart. I tried not to cry but last night as I was singing the song, " Wind beneath my wings by Bette Midler" I didn't realize my eyes are starting to wet, until tears are racing to fall. The feeling of emptiness and missing of someone you loved so much in your life and the thought that you could no longer touch, hear her voice and laughter, hug her tight and say this lines to her "I love you Lola"(Lola means grandmother in Cebuano term) hurts me so much. On her funeral I wrote her a poem.

ABUELA by: Mayang
Isn't it raining
On the day of your leaving
Wasn't ready of this happening
Yet tears barely falling
Trying hard of it doing
Maybe your smiling
In there no more pain feeling
You, I will always be loving
For you are always my greatest human-being

I call her heroine, because just like the lyrics of the song " Wind beneath my wings by Bette Midler"

So I was the one with all the glory
While you were the one with all the strength
A beautiful face without a name for so long
A beautiful smile to hide the pain

She had to work hard to raise me, fed and send me to a good school even I was just only her grand daughter because my parents can't. She took the responsibilities wide arms open with full of love.

In sickness and in health, she tried to work hard for us to have food to eat. She was my number one fan in my victories and failures. A firm believer that I can conquer the world and make my dreams to reality.

It must have been cold there in my shadow
To never have sunlight on your face
You were content to let me shine, that's your way
You always walked a step behind

Superman and wonder woman are movie hero and heroine, for me she was and will always be.

Did you ever know that you're my hero
And everything I would like to be?
I can fly higher than an eagle
For you are the wind beneath my wings

Now, I can fly high in life's struggles because she was the heroine beneath my life.

Kahlil Gibran quoted:

“Ever has it been that love knows not its own depth until the hour of separation.”

If you have still time, show your love, hug frequent, tell how much you love each other and never be annihilated by such an important quarrels.
