How can we keep safe - Visiting Market is dangerous # marketfriday

in Market Friday4 years ago

Seriously I am missing the days, when we use to roam in market every evening and make it memorable. For many it is good place as they get to meet their friends. We can easily spend hours chit-chatting and enjoy some Street delicies.

Now the time has taken a U-turn and things have changes dramatically. The deadly virus has pushed everyone to their home. Staying at home is the only way to remain safe. However as the month of Ramadan has started few of the people came back on street to get their stuffs. Looking at them it is very impossible to say if they really following the social distancing.

The roads were buzzing with people and it's too crowded. The picture were taken from street of Chandni Chowk a very famous street in New Delhi. Majority of the people were Muslims and they came out in evening to celebrate the auspicious days of Ramadan.

These pictures were taken by my friend who is residing in that area. Looking at the picture it is hard to say if they really following the government orders. They are forgetting that virus is not any religion specific. They can harm anyone at any time.

Social distancing is the word that came very early in India. All social gathering were cancelled and people were ask to avoid crowded places. Only because the government wanted to their citizen to be safe fom the pandemic.

But these people simply defying all the odds. And looking at them, it does not appear they are bothered about the virus. Many of them looks educated but behaviours like this is very harmful and they are causing risk to rest of the people.

Looking at the pic I missed those street and hope the olden days get back soon. This market is still buzzing even in lockdown, I thought to bring up them on #marketfriday for @dswigle.

Thanks & Namaste

I just look at the mass of bodies, one against the other and I am amazed and confused by this kind of behavior And it is not only them but, so many other places. I have to wonder what they are thinking and worry that this mentality is carrying over to their children. I am so glad that you are staying home and keeping the distance. I know we must eat, but, so many people go out for no reason. Thank you for showing me!
