Off-roading - Awatere Valley Road in Molesworth Recreation Reserve - Part 2

Land of extremes, the Molesworth Recreation Reserve is a vast landscape with scree-scarred mountains, wide river valleys and tussock slopes. With limited access time during January and February every year, you can explore the reserve through Awatere Valley Road.

Starting from Blenheim, follow SH1 south toward Seddon. Look for the Awatere Valley Road on your right just north of Seddon. At the Awatere Valley Bridge, you will find a sign indicating whether the Acheron Road through Molesworth is open.
