BUILDING ACCORDING TO THE PATTERN

“... AS MOSES WAS DIVINELY INSTRUCTED when he was about to make the tabernacle. For He said, “SEE THAT YOU MAKE ALL THINGS ACCORDING TO THE PATTERN SHOWN YOU ON THE MOUNTAIN.”
Hebrews 8:5 (NKJV)

• If things are not working in what you are doing, you need to check what God has instructed you to do: Are you building according to the pattern given to you? (Exodus 25:40).

• What gives a Christian, a minister of God, problems is when they lost their bearings—when they could not discern, know, what God is asking them to do.
  When you missed God, confusion sets in.
  When you strayed from your assignment, God's plan for your life: suffering, reproach and calamity set in.
• However, God does not delight in sufferings of His children.

• Take note:

• Find out God's plan for your life.
• Also, find out how He wants you to carry out His plan that He has revealed to you.
  Some are working according to God's plan for their lives, but the pattern with which they are carrying out the plan is not of God.
  One may be sincere in the pursuit of his or her assignment, but sincerely wrong.
• You may be right in what you are doing, but the pattern may be wrong.
  David had a good motive in bringing the ark of covenant to the place he had prepared for it, but he missed it in the approach of carrying the ark; thus, calamity struck, Uzza died (1 Chronicles 13:5-12).
  Nevertheless, David realized his mistakes: that the ark of God was not supposed to be carried with the cart, using cart to carry the ark was the pattern of Philistines (1 Samuel 6:1-12).
  The ark of God was to be carried by the Levites (Deuteronomy 10:8; 1 Chronicles 15:13,14).

1. “It was because you, the Levites, did not bring it up the first time that the LORD our God broke out in anger against us. WE DID NOT INQUIRE OF HIM ABOUT HOW TO DO IT IN THE PRESCRIBED WAY.
2. So the priests and Levites consecrated themselves in order to bring up the ark of the LORD, the God of Israel.”
   1 Chronicles 15:13,14 (NKJV)

• It is one thing to know God's plan for your life, and it is another thing to carry the plan out with His pattern.
Thus, you must know God's plans and the pattern with which to carry out the plans.

• If you are toiling and struggling in your assignment, I want to admonish, strongly advice, you to go back to God and clear what you are doing, whether it is right or not.
  You need to know God's plan for your life and ministry, and the pattern with which to carry out the plan.
