Buffalo police push and injure elderly man

Two police officers in Buffalo, New York, have been suspended after an elderly protester was pushed to the ground and injured.
Shocking footage shows two officers shoving the man, reported to be 75 years old, after he approaches and speaks to them. One officer uses a baton, the other his hand. The man then staggers and falls backwards, striking his head on the pavement.
He doesn’t move, and blood can be seen coming from his head. Someone off-camera shouts, ‘He’s bleeding out of his ear.’
Several officers, including the two who pushed him, walk past his static body without checking his condition or offering aid. Eventually, one officer calls for a medic.
Buffalo police originally claimed that the man ‘tripped and fell,’ but they have since suspended two officers.
City Mayor Byron Brown said he was ‘deeply disturbed,’ while State Governor Andrew Cuomo called the incident ‘wholly unjustified and utterly disgraceful.’
The man is currently in stable condition in hospital after suffering what is being described as a ‘serious’ head injury.
