I have flown hundreds of flights and not once has the pilot announced "Don't Panic we are about the land", never.
With government leaders news pundits by the thousands say not to panic, this in itself is reason enough to go the opposite direction. USA Homeland Security has said to have two weeks of food in the home. Quarantines in China lasted over a month. Start the clock for Italy. Its almost certian that waiting until there is a lock down to buy essentials will be too late.
Those that did not start to purchase reasonable items in January will likely find themselves without.
Laissez-faire is coming in the weeks ahead.
