The COVID-19 pandemic has turned our world upside down. What it has not changed, however, is the American Cancer Society's commitment to attacking cancer from all angles. As we transition to embracing work-from-home arrangements and social distancing, many of us are starting to get a little stir crazy and looking for things to fill our newfound free time. We’re looking for ways to virtually connect and to have a good laugh while we’re at it!
The #LaptopLipSync challenge encourages individuals to create personalized lip sync videos and post them to social media to spark joy and encourage optimism, all while raising money for the American Cancer Society. Use the hashtag #LaptopLipSync, tag 3-5 friends/colleagues to share their own videos, and encourage those watching to make a donation to the American Cancer Society through this GoFundMe page.

Patient and family services. Our National Cancer Information Center, available at 1-800-227-2345 and via live chat on cancer.org, is staffed 24/7, 365. Right now, 80% of our calls are related to COVID-19 and cancer. Our phone-based Reach To Recovery breast cancer support program, and other support group resources are also available.
Advocacy. ACS CAN continues to work tirelessly to advocate for policies that could help ease the burden the pandemic is placing on cancer patients. ACS CAN was integral to the passage of the Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security (CARES) Act, which includes provisions to help nonprofits continue their critical services across the country.
