Here's how to get floating islands in Minecraft 1.18:

1. Create a new world with default settings
2. Edit / Export world generation settings
3. Open the generated JSON file and put "minecraft:floating_islands" inside "dimensions.minecraft:overworld.generator.settings"
4. Create new world / More world options... / Import settings
5. Select the JSON file that you've modified
