I watch and see this kind of answer from so called "Knowledgeable" people when they say "a Border is closed" and they have not even the slightest inkling of the laws governing the High Seas. If there is a life boat, RHIB, or any other short range boat in distress it is REQUIRED that the Coast Guard, of any Country, render aid. IF they are immigrants fleeing war, fine, without papers put them in detention then send them to some other safe haven.
What the Greek Coast Guard is doing is nothing less than PIRACY on the high seas resulting in death. So in the future please read the law prior to trying to look smart. MItch, out
