Finding the Normal or Perpendicular Vector of a Plane
![](https://steemitimages.com/640x0/https://i.ytimg.com/vi/As_Z3nqWk4Y/hqdefault.jpg)
In this video I show that the cross product of two non-parallel vectors on a plane obtains a vector perpendicular to that plane, and is called the normal vector. Each non-parallel vector can be obtained by simply taking the position vector of any two points. The normal vector is very important as it defines the equation for a plane, which is the set of points that have the same normal vector.
