The huge freshwater Lake Toba in Sumatra is an incredible attraction. Firstly, it is huge, secondly, it is quite warm, and thirdly, the views from Samosir Island are amazing.

Ogromne słodkowodne jezioro Toba na Sumatrze to niesłychana atrakcja. Po pierwsze jest ogromne, po drugie w miarę ciepłe, a po trzecie widoki z wyspy Samosir są niesamowite.

While traveling by ferry to the island, we were caught up by several touts. They competed with prices, because the rainy season is a weak period for their business. Each of them had some advertising materials with pictures of hotels.

Podczas podróży promem na wyspę dopadło nas kilku naganiaczy. Prześcigali się z cenami, bo pora deszczowa to słaby okres dla ich biznesu. Każdy z nich miał jakieś materiały reklamowe ze zdjęciami hoteli.

However, we were interested in one object, located exceptionally, because on the very shore of the lake. We thought the price would be astronomical, but as it turned out, for a small bungalow with a bathroom right on the shore of the lake, we have to pay 150,000 Indonesian rupees, which in current exchange rates is about 9 euros per bungalow.

Zainteresował nas jednak jeden obiekt, położony wyjątkowo, bo nad samym brzegiem jeziora. Myśleliśmy, ze cena będzie astronomiczna, ale jak się okazało, z mały bungalow z łazienką nad samym brzegiem jeziora musimy zapłacić 150.000 rupii indonezyjskich, co w przeliczeniu na obecny kurs to około 9 euro za bungalow.

The price is, of course, excellent, considering the location, standard of the room, and additionally a small pool with fish just before leaving the room. We didn't want to leave there, so we stayed there for a few days.

Cena oczywiście doskonała, biorąc pod uwagę usytuowanie, standard pokoju, a dodatkowo mały basenik z rybkami tuż przed wyjściem z pokoju. Aż nie chciało się nam stamtąd wyjeżdżać, dlatego zostaliśmy tam kilka dni.
