Coin Market Cap - Shiba Inu (SHIB) and Chiliz (CHZ) Price & Analysis, June 16, 2021 [CoinMarketCap]. Recent announcements from Coinbase have indicated that a number of new tokens will be listed on Coinbase Pro. Prices of tokens increased dramatically following the announcement; some increased by as much as 33%.
After the listing of the tokens in question, the prices of Shiba Inu (SHIB/USD) and Chiliz (CHZ/USD) both went up dramatically.
An alternative meme token, Shiba Inu, has seen its price rise by 33% in the last 24 hours after following Dogecoin's popularity.
During that same time period, Chiliz's price went up by 26%, going from $0.2773 to $0.3495. This coin is known as the coin behind Socios - a platform that sells fan tokens branded with the logos of teams, clubs, and organizations.
A second token, called Keep Network (KEEP/USD), will also be offered on Coinbase Pro. KEEP, which went from $0.49 to $0.62, also saw a sudden and rapid rise of 26%, the company said. On the other hand, unlike the others, KEEP has already been corrected and is currently trading at $0.56.
Shiba Inu Coin valuation is currently pretty high, making SHIB one of the top 100 performers on Wednesday.
Many cryptocurrencies have experienced a similar boom when they were listed on Coinbase or Coinbase Pro, which is also known as the Coinbase Effect - when the prices of the relevant cryptocurrencies skyrocketed just because Coinbase featured them.
Any new addition to the Coinbase exchange - the largest US crypto broker - has huge potential, as the exchange has historically been selective about what tokens it lists.
