Moving away from the east coast is perhaps a good idea. Life is usually easier in a place thats warm and not so crowded. Saying that, Florida may be a bit too much of that. :)
I've been thinking of going to some warmer place myself. But inside Germany there is not much difference in weather. And in a foreign country... that creates new problems again, language and so on. I don't think it will happen anymore.
