US blacklists four people, alleging Venezuela election meddling

The United States has announced sanctions against Venezuela's election officials ahead of the country's upcoming parliamentary vote.
It is an election many opposition parties intend to boycott, calling it an attempt by President Nicolas Maduro to take total control of the National Assembly.
