Greetings to steem cameroon. Hope we are doing great. I will like to say big thank you to steem cameroon for always bringing up such amazing contest to support steemians. I am happy to take part in this contest with the title courage.

First I will like us to get an understanding of the word courage.
The word courage means the ability or willing ness to deal with something that is dangerous, difficult,or simply acting without fear of failure. Courage is the ability to do something difficult even when there's risk.

We all need the courage to start things we pursue. At the start, if we think about the result, we will go into the fear zone.
But courage helps us overcome fear and makes us attempt things we were scared of before.

COURAGE

Characters;

ANTHONY- 32 years old man , who shows courage in the face of adversity to fight against racial prejudice. He does this by taking meaningful actions and messages to combat prejudice even in the face of fear.

GARY- on the other hand is a young girl of 21years who served as a maid and wanted to write a book on prejudice and racism. She could not do that on her own, so she needed soneone to help her write the book which was something risky to do because if cought she will be sent to prison.

ANDREW- a young handsome boy of 25years who was wrongly accused of raping a young white girl just because of his race and skin colour.

Charles - is a white male lawyer, who decides to take on the case of defending Andrew whois black, for his false accusations.

MOVIE

Gary and many other people experienced racism and and racial segregation in the country where she lived. Laws were placed throughout the country and made life very difficult and hard for people from different racial backgrounds .
Gary wanted to write a book about her life as a black woman, the challenges and experiences she has faced been a black maid.
She met Anthony one day on the road as she was going to run an errand for her master. She begged Anthony if he could help her to write the book.
Anthony refused immediately because he was quite aware of the consequences if he was cought helping Gary to write the book. The consequence result is life imprisonment or even death penalty . Anthony was willing to help but was scared so he said to him self "what will I do" ? Confused at this point ,he told Gary that he will give a taught about it and get back to her.

Charles was willing to help Andrew on his case in court. During his conversation with Andrew he says that he is going to defend him to the best of his ability , that every man has the right to a fair trial no matter the race or color. Despite all the challenges He will face, Charles genuinely shows courage to make sure that Andrew is treated as equal as any other man.

After giving a taught about Gary's request, Anthony was willing to help. By agreeing to help Gary wrote her book , Anthony shows a measure of courage in him. After writing the book successfully , she was cought and taken to court. But with all the courage she had in her she was willing to stand for herself and every other black maid in her country. She was threatened in court that she might be sent to jail eventhough the statement was terrifying and confronting , Gary stood up for her self and showed courage .
The judges read through her book and saw that what was written inside really made sense. Gary was finally free of her charges. Her book was published and allowed for others to read freely.Anthony and Gary were so excited that they didn't let fear overpower their courage to do the right thing.

Meanwhile on the other hand, Charles showed courage in the face of adversity by defending Andrew in court . He made the judge see the reasons with him that everyone is equal no matter the race , or skin color. It wasn't an easy task for him to convince the judge. But because he was persistent and did not give up he won the case. Charles showed great courage by standing for people no matter the race , gender or skin color.

CONCLUSION

Being courageous in our life gives us the power to chase our dreams and increase our belief in our abilities despite being surrounded by fear. In the movie true intentions and courage is revealed especially towards the end, where the characters demonstrate courage in the face of adversity.
Being courageous you will feel empowered and proud of yourself.
Others will notice and be inspired. You are free from feeling anxious and able to accomplish more. And lastly you can clearly focus on creating a better future for yourself. Thank you all for reading.
