Charity they say begins at home. To promote gender visibility and equality, it must first be addressed and uprooted from the roots.
How can you help your community promote a gender-equal world?
We must uproot it from our homes, society, and community. It lies with our parents, priests, pastors, and teachers. Our parents must understand that every child is equal to the task. Not to discriminate, even though, some roles can not be filled by a woman.
It is not unusual to see a young boy messing up, and instead of being scolded at he is cuddled. In the girl's case, she will be scolded and sometimes even spanked for doing certain things.
- We can promote gender visibility and equality by giving proper advice to both genders. It is seen in how the world would constantly preach to girls to cover up their bodies, don't expose their bodies, protect and preserve their virginity for their husbands.
The boys are not given the same advice but are left to decay and rot, and even when the girls are covered up from head to toe, there will still be cases of rape and abuse.
- By teaching the boys and girls to respect each other. Boys should respect women and treat them right and vice versa.
- By not limiting the house chores to a single gender. Boys should also learn to wash the dishes, do the laundry and keep the house clean. Girls would also be allowed to explore other tasks aside from the home, girls are not maids.
- By teaching girls to stand tall and strong. By equipping the with the right skills that will earn them some income, this way they don't have to totally depend on men alone.
Can celebrating Women's International Day increase visibility and equality?
Yes, celebrating women's days brings to light the importance of women in the society. It throws light on the improvement and contribution that these women have made over time. How they have changed their destiny and rewrote history.
During International Women's Day, seminars and conferences are held across all countries. Both men and women attend these events, where issues that concern women are raised and tackled. The men who came to the events will have a certain understanding of Gender equality.
Are feminism and Women's rights fight the same?
Feminism is a quest for equal opportunities for women to receive things as it is for their male counterparts as regards education, career, job opportunities, and certain privileges that are often denied to women.
Women's right is also where a group of people appeal for women to have access and opportunities to certain things.
Feminism and Women's right are the same because they both have one agenda and aim. To provide women access to things their male counterparts also enjoy.
What do you say about women in top positions?
Where I come from, men still find it hard to hand over power to women. They assume women do not know what to do with the power and position given to them. We live in a society where preference is given to men, thankfully these women broke past the status quo and rose beyond the imagination of many. They include

What makes a good leader (Gender or Merit)
Leadership should be by merit and not gender. This is also part of women's rights. They should have the right to assume positions. Certain positions are given to men because of their perceived strengths and weakness's weakness.
This has caused a lot of mishaps to happen. Leadership should be given to whom it deserves, one is compassionate and have its citizens' needs at heart.
One who is given a leadership position must ensure that a great job is carried out to heed to the masses' demands.

It's unfortunate that gender discrimination and bias are still prevalent in some societies, where men find it difficult to hand over power to women. The belief that women do not know what to do with power and position is a baseless assumption that stems from gender stereotypes and bias. It's essential to recognize that women are equally capable of leadership and decision-making as men.

Nice post, friend. You wrote my mind and just the same facts i would have written. We need to start the first call to action from our families so as to create a balance from both genders.
Also, though i agree with the fact that the woman right and feminism drive the same course, but recently, there is a skewed perception of the feminist as they seem to be extreme about this concept.
They are not only aggressive and insolence about this but they have taken a step further to align their sexual relationship only to themselves (lesbianism).
If this trend continues to go on, it is no longer the idea.
