THE DIARY GAME GAME : 12/2/2022 A DAY OF SPORTS AND FOOTBALL IN BAMENDA

It's week end and a day of sports, football and entertainment .
After been off the pitch for about weeks i decided to engage today in preparation of the fast approaching new football season .
FOr the past few months since the end of the championship we have been on break and training only individually. Last Thursday Training was announced for 6:30 am Saturday 12 which was yesterday . I was so happy to train again with my team NO PAIN NO GAON.
It was like the first day in school i could not wait to see my colleagues , friends and the new faces. Before 5 am i was already up.
I discussed with God and i told him what i need and how i want my day to look like. 30 minutes later i was done praying. I worked on my phone for about 10 minutes went to the bath clean up and left for training mile 3 cbc field. I was so happy to see my friends the joy was so overwhelm.


Training was stated for 6:30 but the majority of people came late so we started at exactly 7am. With warm up for about 25 minutes, stretches and alternative works for 15 minutes and the real work started. We were so lucky to have a CAF instructor who was the main teacher for the day.

He gave us the new concept of officiating regarding to the changes of the laws of the game.
We had flag techniques and flag manipulations for assistant referees as for the referees it was all about gates and the new evolution of match officiating.
After the technical work we had water break and we went straight for abdo.

It was not easy the poor nature of field the dust plus tiredness but we had no choice we believe in our logo No Pain No Gain.

The training lasted for 2 hours and we seperated. Befor reaching home at arround 9 am i received a phone call from the appointment committee of the Solidarity on going tournament asking my whereabout i said i was home and the asked if i will be free for the day i said yes and the quickly appointed me to replace an assistant referee who was to officiate a match at st paul.
After all the tiredness i had no choice because i knew i was going to huzle.
I came back home and i made my breakfast

Had a rest for about an hour parked my bag took my bath and prepared. I left straight to the field it was already few minutes to noon and the first match was to start at 1 pm.

I had to pay a bike to the field i discovered i used all my money earlier in the morning to activate my monthly data. I quickly texted a friend online to sent me 1500 via momo and he responded positive all thanks to him. I arrived the field at exactly 12:30 few minutes latter teams started warming up and the field was not even marked the stadium director said he was not aware of the match.
Just for the good of the game we managed to mark the field our own way .
The first match was between Hiltop strikers and Bafmeng United.

The game was a difficult one and Hiltop strikers Manage to win the match 1 goal to 0. To grab 5 points in pool A after drawing her first 2 games againts Yosa and Bafut Rangers

The second match was really the game of the day Yong Sport Academy vs Bafut Rangers after a difficult battle the game ended goalless.

We saw beautifully football but with poor playing ground . The stadium was full with fans to watch good football the fied was not well marked and the dust was just too much. We pray to one day have a stadium in Bamenda

The match ended at 5 :50 pm and i finally left the field arround 6 :30 because i needed to give the substitution board to a colleague to use for today's game . I arrived home at pass 7 . Kneel down and gave thanks to Yaweh for a successful day .
