The Diary Game [27:05:2023] Burial Day,RIP Father
Steem greeting to everyone on this gorgeous platform. This month has not been a good one for me, because I lost my father in the hands of cold death. He has been sick for while but with the numerous invention from my siblings to give him the appropriate treatment he deserved .Our labour was in vien at the end my dad died 14/05/2023.
It’s is still a very hard pill for us to swallow but we just have to accept. Immediately he died his corps were transported to our village where my father has built his house. My father mortal remains are kept in Shisong hospital. To be removed on the 27/05/2023 and laid to rest.
Today I will sharing with you guys how I spent my day onthe 27/05/2023 and how my father,s burial unfolded. Early inthe morning at 7:30am, we were all ready to go and removed my father’s corps from the mortuary. We traveled the previous day to the village to lay our father to rest .Due to the Anglophone crisis in my region.
Only 3 of us out of 8 in our family went to the village while the rest of my siblings remain in our main in town Bamenda. At my fathers place where he was leaving with my mom. Due to insecurity reasons. At 8:00am my fathers mortal remains was removed from the mortuary carried inside an ambulance car to the church directly.Saint Cornelius Catholic Mission Kumbo.
At 10:00am, When everyone were already seated in the church, church service started. My mom and us as her kids sat In front of the first bench. The priest started with the church service.
In 2hours, the priest was done with the church service for my dad.I learnt a lot from the priest first ,second reading and Gospel preaching. As an elderly man during you are resting from your works that you have done on earth. All we need is to pray for their souls to rip.My father,s corps was carried by church elders out of the church into the ambulance to be taken to our house where my dad will be laid to rest .
I felt like was in a new environment because for 5 years .I have not been to the village due to this Anglophone crisis plaguing in my village .An the entire north and southwest region of Cameroon.Out of the church we took some pictures outside with my father,s picture frame.
Later,We all went our place , my father’s s mortal remains was open inside the parlor for people who did not go tothe mortuary to view.In 30minutes my father’s mortal remains was carried inside the coffin to burial.
From here my father was buried and laid to rest. It’s is heart broken from us but we just need to accept. The only thing we need to give him now is prayers .For his soul to rest well.
Around 4:00pm,after the burial people were entertained with foods, chawbles and drinks .My village is a very dengerous zone for seperatist fighters. For the fear not to be kidnapped we had to leave the village the same day with my mom.Luckily we already had a driver that we arranged to take us back to town.
At 5:30am,we left the village, at one point places were already dark we had to spent a night at one of my aunts place at Jakiri to kickoff early inthe morning to Bamenda where we are leaving .That how my father was laid to rest .Rest in peace Father ,we love you but God love you most.
